Followif you have ever stayed at a Relais & Chateaux property then you probably need no explanation as to why to choose one again. if you have not had the pleasure, this one’s for you.
several years back i stayed at Villa Gallici – a Relais & Chateaux in Aix-en-Provence – and to this day it’s the most wonderful place i have ever stayed. since then, i try stay at a R&C property whenever i can because the experience is always memorable and above the rest. my visit to Zannos Melathron in Santorini was consistent with my prior R&C experiences – just amazing. Relais & Chateaux properties are typically set in a facility with some kind of historical or unique value and their mission is that at each property the maître de maison draws upon his unique experience and passion to share the authentic culture and tastes of his region with every guest. the properties are often on the more intimate side as well.
i’ve enjoyed staying with Relais & Chateaux because of all these reasons and because the staff have always gone above and beyond to be helpful and make me feel at home. it’s an expectation i have become accustomed to and i appreciate the brand’s consistency.
